Health outcomes are changes in patients\u2019 health that occur as a result of health care.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They include clinical measures of treatment success such as mortality and survival, as well as quality of life, which is usually monitored through patient-reported outcomes (symptoms, pain, mobility, ability to perform everyday activities, etc.).<\/p>\n\t\t

There are significant differences in treatment outcomes across European Union member states, and even within individual countries. Outcomes should be measured in the same and comparable way, in order to identify best practices. It would allow us to provide organizational and financial support to member states with lower outcomes to reach the target level and thus, we could reduce the differences between the countries and ensure patient equity.<\/p>\n
